Thank you to all who contacted our
councilmembers and attended the 12-18-07 meeting. The Planning and Land Use
Management committee held its last public comment hearing regarding the
proposed Baseline Mansionization Ordinance yesterday 12-18-07. About 150
people attended the meeting on a cold, drizzly day during the holidays, and
the majority spoke in favor of the ordinance which limits the size of homes
that can be built. Our politicians have taken note of our communications and
are aware that we are asking them to send this proposal on to the full City
Council for a vote on January 8. If they do forward this proposal to the full
City Council, it will be as a direct result of your emails, letters and phone
calls.
